Location is of vital importance for any shoot. Hence the location scouting also gets a vital status in the pre-production stage of film making.

Typically ideas for what a location could or should be are discussed between the production dept and us. Based on their requirement we suggest various available options – we send them pics of these places from our wide archive. Once a short list or consensus indicating the locations with most potential is formulated, arrangements are normally made for some of the production team people to tour these locations and finalise a place for the shoot. This is normally termed as a recci and one of our team members always accompany the team to fulfill all their required queries regarding the place.

Based on the places finalized, we start negotiations with any number of internal and external parties as may have bearing on the productions ability to exploit the location, otherwise also known as clearing the location for use of the shoot. This normally includes fixing the rates with the owners (private or govt) for the location and also ensuring the location is clear for the required dates.

Getting all local authority and govt permissions for usage of property. This is vital before proceeding with other arrangements for the shoots. We also work closely with the production team on the logistics and get a complete list of crew/equipment traveling for the shoot. If required we also organize complete air/road/ train travel for the crew. We arrange for the boarding and lodging and complete transportationg for the shoot. We also can organize on location catering where required.

Once all arrangements are made for the shoot – we help co-ordinate the complete shoot till the very end and are the last to leave a location. Ensuring that the location is handed back to the owner in the same condition we received it. also we wrap up the complete shoot ensuring that all payments are made to required parties and all parties are satisfied with the results of the shoot. We take it upon ourself to ensure that all parties are satisfied and leave happy as our reputation is based on the same.
